I don't know what R is for. Roses, reaching, romance, religion, roller coasters, rice, raisins.... goodness! I could list so many "R" words... but I couldn't write about any of them! I feel that religion or having a religion or being religious doesn't necessarily mean that you are saved. The pharisees were religious and Jesus said they were like white washed tombs... nice and pristine on the outside... but dead on the inside. They toted the scriptures around their necks and prayed loudly when people were around so that they could show off just how religious they were. But they showed no compassion for others... even praying "God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector." (The Pharisee and the Tax Collector - Luke 18:9-14)

ReplyDeleteHehehe I often suck the bluster out of non-believers because I hate religion. Probably more than they do.
ReplyDeleteJesus never asked us to be religious. He asked us to believe in him and to let him save us.
We don't need religion. We need Faith.
