One Blanket Down
I stopped at Walgreens a week ago and found they had their "Be a Santa to a Senior" tree up. I chose to people who wished for lap blankets; they were both females because none of the men wanted blankets. As you know I have had my "Random Squares" blanket in the works for some time now. I finally finished it... and I'm about half way finished with my hexagon blanket which I will also be giving away. I am super excited for this as I have been planning for it all year. Here are some photos of the finished blanket!

Thats really cool!! I don't think I have the guts to do a random square blanket... I'd be scared they wouldn't fit together lol
ReplyDeleteIt is absolutely stunning! What a fantastic job.
ReplyDeleteThat turned out really nice---love it!!!
ReplyDeletegreat job~I've not heard of that at Walgreens'. I'll have to see if mine has that too.
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness this is amazing!!!
ReplyDeletewow! thanks for all the kind words! no two squares are alike. ell, except for the two above and to the right of the heart square. Kari, not all the squares lined up. If you saw this in person you would see the ripples in the blanket... but I love it. very unique.
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah! Just popped by to have a look around. Your blanket is beautiful! I'm pretty sure I have a crochet book from the 70's with a pattern very similar to this. Except it was full of all the crazy colors from that era. I like them both. How nice of you to share this with a senior for Christmas!
